onegirloneride Day 86 of 86 days August 31, 2008

Invergrove Heights

Thank you to the Snyder family, Cathy, Will, and Alex for having us stay with you the last days of the ride.  We have had such fun.  It is always busy and there is always something fun going on here.

Barbe Zinney came from Carlton, Carlton County Posse today and is here at the Snyder Farm getting ready for tomorrow.

I am getting really excited about the finish of the ride and seeing all the people I have met.  I am very excited to see Michelle Bachmann who has been so nice to me.  I wonder why other people in government have not shown the Military that they care about them.  I think that alot of people in government say they care about the military but it is just words.  All the talk about people in government and how bad they are, maybe they just need to do what is right and forget about what some people will think or say.

More people need to stop trying to spread hate and problems and start doing something to help others.  Some people have tryed to make me feel bad about myself by spreading lies and lying about us. I feel sorry for those people.  I bet they never give all they have because their things mean more to them than people do. What sad people they must be. Try giving, it will make you feel great.

I know that no one can take the way I feel about my ride from me.  The great people we have met remind me every time that my ride makes people feel good and know that when I said I would ride 86 days and 860 miles that I did it.  I will never stop talking about our Military, their families, and the need for a place that any soldier in need of a place to heal can go for free.

Thank you to everyone who has helped onegirloneride. Thank you. Love E’leese

We are going to be at the Renaissance Festival today from 9:00 am to about 2:00pm (maybe later).

I just wanted to tell everyone that has been involved with onegirloneride, THANK YOU.  That doesn’t seem like enough to say.  All of you know how much you have helped me. Everyone is special to me.  Could someone help John and Minnie Sloot find us on Sunday.  Minnie will ride with my mom and John is riding horse.  They are the Grandparents I never had and I would like someone to be extra helpful to them. Hi! Grandpa John and Grandma Minnie, see you soon.  Sunday is going to be really cool.  I want to see everyone but I really just want to bring Chip home to John and Cate’s Farm where we board.  Chip will be so glad to see our other horse Montana and their girlfriend Bella.  Chip will love to run in his pasture and kick up his feet and run with Bella and Montana. Me, I just want to go to Blake’s and see my stuff and get ready for school.

KS95 is going to interview me on Tuesday, September 2, at about 7:20 am and then I will be on Twin Cities Live, Tuesday afternoon.  Melissa and John were really fun to be with the first time I was on TV.  I think we will have even a better time, talking about the ride and all the things I did.

The next thing I have to do is get the pictures on the blog.  We only got a few up when we were at Camp Rippley.  We have over 350 pictures to go through.  So there will be alot pictures to look at.

We had such a good time today at the Renaissance Festival.  The Queen and the King were so nice to me.  Chip and I were first in the parade after the bell ringers.  I had the King and Queen sign the book.  Thank you to everyone at the Renaissance Festival for making it so much fuuuuuun!

Canterbury Park

We went to Canterbury Park and John showed us around the entire Park.  We were allowed to go in to the paddock and be right with the horses before they ran!  Then we went through the tunnel and in to the area that the jockeys use.  Then we were brought into the winners circle and introduced to the audience. I saw Mrs. Rush and one of my teachers, Mr. Pote. We had our pictures taken and got to stand at the rail of the winners circle to watch the race.  It was very exciting being that close to the horses when they run!

Some of the Dakota County Mounted Patrol came with us to the Park and to sell T-shirts. Tim, Kathy, Kelly, Alex, Mickey, and Zoey.  We had a fun time!

Thank you John.  Thank you Canterbury Park.  See you next spring!

Life is good here at the Snyder Farm.  Chip is happy and eating well. The rain was a real blessing and washed everything clean.  The truck and trailer are looking good.

Star and Tribune reporter Tim Harlow came and shared breakfast with us this morning.  Kathy made bacon, eggs, toast, and wonderful fried potatoes. E’leese is hoping that the web version of the report makes the front page of the Star Tribune so her friends can see about the ride. But really any page in our home town press is good.  Thank you Tim for a fun morning!

Onegirloneride will be at the Renaissance Festival on Saturday, August 30th. The Renaissance Festival told us that they would love to have onegirloneride in the opening parade and available to the public that day.

I hope that everyone supports the Renaissance Festival and makes it the best day ever for such generous people.

Come and meet Chip the wonderhorse and E’leese.

I must have been dreaming!  I thought I blogged about the fabulous t-shirts that have been made for us by Shirt Werks in Egan (1-800-929-6343 or 651-686-6343). onegirloneride is broken at an angle down the front of the shirt and behind the words is the silhouette picture of E’leese and Chip from the web page!

The Dakota County Mounted Patrol really surprised us with the creation (by Shirt Werks) when we arrived the first time in Rosemount. They took it on themselves to sell enough shirts so that when they gave us the remaining shirts it is all profit for onegirloneride.

The colors are jewel toned  pink, orange, golden yellow, turquoise, blue, or pale green or purple, and a woodsy green.

They also say support our troops and the ever famous ribbon.

Call and get yours

We are back at Cathy and Will Snyder’s farm. Thank you for having us back to ride our miles here while preparing to go to the Capitol on Sunday, August 31st, at noon.

Anyone interested in riding miles with onegirloneride may do so by calling us at 763-647-8300.

It is hard to make 10 safe miles this close to the city and fast traffic.  We will ride Lebanon Hills and other areas that will make our 10 miles a day.

Hay Creek

I have had so much fun at Hay Creek with Monte and the women of WHOA (Women Horses Only Allowed).  They made me an honorary member of the group.  All the women are really cool.  They all have such a good time together.  And they had room for me too.  Thank you for riding with me!

Mom and I are spending one more night here.  She got hurt yesterday and her back is really sore.

Hay Creek

Sounds like girl week-end at Hay Creek. A group of women who would not be left out of a girl bonding weekend like the guys have, are meeting at Hay Creek to ride. Come to ride with us at Hay Creek.

Ok, this is cool.  A bunch of women have made a club by the name of WHOA (Women Horses Only Allowed) I met Tony’s wife (he is on the Steele County Posse and put Chips new shoes on).  Could you please blog me and tell me your names again?  I really had fun with you. Thank you for riding with me today.

Mom got bucked off and hurt her back. She took some medicine and slept for the day.  I hope she feels better soon.
